dynIP keeps you informed of the public IP address of a machine via
email. This makes it possible to stay aware of dynamic IP addresses
when you are away from the machine the public address of which you
need.

stay aware of the dynamic IP address of your home or office, whether
your machine connects directly to the Internet or access the
Internet via a local area network. With appropriate software and
configuration, this allows you to connect to your machines without
requiring you to purchase a static IP address.
Features
* Determines the public IP address even if the PC on which dynIP is
running has a private IP address and accesses the Internet through a
firewall or router.
* Keeps you informed of the IP address via email, there is no need
for you to create an account to access any web site to lookup the IP
address. The IP address is waiting for you in your email when you
need it.
* Allows you to specify the interval after which to send emails.
This lets you control how frequently dynIP determines the IP address
and sends notification emails.
* Allows you to specify multiple recipient email addresses. This
allows you, for example, to keep a number of staff members informed
of the IP address of a small office, allowing more than one person
to access machines at the office.
* Uses outgoing mail servers assigned by your ISP, there is no
dependency on third party mail servers.
* Minimal dependency on any third party server. Unlike most
services, dynIP needs to send very little traffic to an outside
server to determine your public IP address.
* No need to create any accounts with third parties and no recurring
service charges.
Restrictions of the unregistered version
Until you register your copy of dynIP, you will not be able to
configure the email interval. Unregistered versions of dynIP will
send the IP address notification emails to addresses you specify
every five minutes. Furthermore, after sending three such emails,
you will be presented with a notice to register dynIP and will have
to acknowledge the notice for dynIP to continue. Also the dynIP
title screen as well as the notification emails will show that this
is an unregistered version of dynIP. Registering your copy of dynIP
removes these annoyances. |
